This case is offered as a "stock" replacement case. It has has 8mm inserts for the head studs, Type 1 & 2 universal mounts and Type 1 & 3 dipstick locations. This case is designed to replace an original "universal" case and is considered a great upgrade over the "stock" magnesium case.

EMPI has developed this high quality counter-weighted Stroker Crank with the serious racer in mind. Multiple die stamp forged from 4340 chromoly (One of the strongest materials available for crankshafts). Cranks are then magna fluxed, shot peened and all journals are nitrided, precision ground and micro polished. Additional features include cross drilled, chamfered oil holes, dynamic balancing, 8 dowel and extra long 8mm dowel pins. Choose the journal size and stroker combination that best suits your application.
Note: Stroker Cranks require machining of case and possibly other internal components, for rod clearance.
The heart of any hi-performance engine is the crankshaft. Counter-weighted crankshafts greatly reduce power robbing and damaging crank-flex, high RPM harmonics and vibration through the entire power range. EMPI's Counter-weighted Crankshafts are perfect for the racer on a budget. These cranks are precision ground, micro-polished, nitrided and balanced. Features include: forged from 4140 chromoly, radiused standard/standard journals, chamfered oil holes, 8 dowel, 8mm dowel pins and cross-drilled. In cross-drilled crankshafts the pressure is divided in two directions, creating a zone of turbulence causing effects similar to oil foaming that reduces constant lubrication. DIRECT DRILLED Crankshafts force the oil in one direction for better full flow lubrication. Cranks are New Standard/Standard with stock 69mm stroke.
EMPI's H-Beam Rods are a must if you are planning on building an all out performance engine. Race proven H-Beam design combines weight savings and high strength thanks to the forged 4340 chromoly construction. Radiused rod caps help reduce that amount of clearancing required on stroker applications and are sleeved to the rod to eliminate cap shifting. Precision machined rods are magna fluxed and sold in matched weight sets of 4. All held together with forged 8740 ARP 5/16" bolts capable of withstanding 200,000 psi tensile load. These I Beam Rods use the O.E. Design but are forged from 4140 chromoly to give you a high strength rod that is easy on your budget. 3/8" 8740, 200,000 psi tensile load rod bolts add all the strength and reliablility necessary for this rod design. Radiused caps aid in stroker clearancing. Three different sizes cover most all of the applications. Torque these 3/8" to 39 ft. lbs. Also offered below is the economical version of the I-Beam Rod. The rod is the same 4140 chromoly design but uses 170,00 psi 8740 5/16" chromoly rod bolts. economy rod only available for 5.394" Vw Journal. (Torque those ones 5/16: to 28-30 ft. lbs.) All rods are sold in matched weight sets of 4.
